Using drywall I created an enlarged picture mat that is empty framing nothing but the wall behind it. I wanted to further unpack the frame in particular thinking of how walls act as a frame or context for what they support. I see the wall as a site for collaboration between an artist and the history or use of a space. Untitled (picture mat) is painted the same color as the walls so it is blends into a space, causing permeation between the walls and the art.
